Miss Hawaii Island Teen USA, Hemi Martinez shared her interview experience "Completing interviews, from once being terrified of speaking in front of others, to now confidently addressing audiences on stage, has been an incredible personal achievement. Though I still experience nervousness at times, it’s surreal to realize how far I’ve come. Yesterday after prelims Martinez shared "After completing the preliminary night, I am deeply grateful for this opportunity. The little girl inside me is bursting with pride. I never imagined I would come this far, and for that, I am immensely thankful. My journey in pageantry began with a desire to inspire younger girls and women, showing them that nothing is impossible with the right motivation"

Miss Maui Teen USA, Hokuaoka’ale Emma Gilman also expressed in amazing words "KIWIKIU vibes for my interview yesterday! I am beyond proud of how my interview went with our amazing judges. Before entering the interview room I did an oli for Waikamoi to pay respect to & introduce the place that I work in as well as the birds and plants within it. It was an introduction of who I am and where I come from. Entering the interview room I was extremely confident and excited for the judges to get to know me! I got really emotional talking about rapid extinction rates here in Hawai’i and my passion for conservation and inspiring more Hawaiian people to stay in Hawai’i and pursue careers to take control of and protect & preserve our ‘āina, for our kūpuna. No matter what happens, I know that I brought awareness to our kūpuna and planted those seeds within our judges. I am so proud and grateful to represent ‘Ihikapalaumāewa."
