Lucy Thomson was crowned Miss Scotland 2022 on July 29th

At the end of Grand Finale & Coronation Show on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow, a new queen to represent Scotland was elected. The successor of Miss Scotland 2021, Claudia Todd, the winner against 10 Contestants Lucy Sophia Thomson was crowned as Miss Scotland 2022.

The Court of Lucy Thomson, 23, had two runners-up, Olivia McPike 1st Runner-up and Ailsa Black 2nd Runner-up.

Thomson, MSc International Management Degree Holder from the University of Strathclyde, worked on social front at The BRAvery Trust and the Scottish Fashion Association which focused on "aims to educate, support and mentor fashion businesses and designers to complement Scottish talent."

Miss Scotland 2022 was sponsored by A M Magazine , Essence Medical , Get it Grl, Fitness Frontier , and Glenisla  Kilts. The judges were Dr Kieren Bong, John Culbert, Phyllis Mc Leish, Kirsty Fergusson Edward Reid, and Chris Johnstone. 

Lucy Thomson didn't competed at the 71st Miss World and later replaced by Chelsie Allison, Miss Scotland 2023. Additionally Thomson also faced some controversy during her reign.

Thomson tells about herself "A Dollar Academy graduate (2010-2016). Completed an MA Business Management Degree from the University of Aberdeen (2016-2020). Recently completed an MSc International Management at the University of Strathclyde (2020-2021). Throughout my 5 years I have studied a diverse range of subjects including Finance, Human Resources, Business Strategy and Economics. My interest lies in Fashion and Events and I want to pursue a career within these industries. I have complemented my Degree with work experience and internships at Teekay Shipping Ltd, Air Menzies International, b. The Communications Agency (London) and London Fashion Week. "

On Wednesday, May 11, 20222, The Miss Scotland Organization revealed "After interviewing hundreds of girls we have selected 11 finalists who will take part in the glittering final on the 29th of July at Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow."
