What is the best advice you’ve ever received? One of my favorite college professors, Dr. Jacqueline Morgan, told me to “live a eulogy life, not a resume life.” This advice reminds me to live a life of service, impact, and fulfillment rather than simply adding accolades and accomplishments to my resume. My decision to seek adventure, serve others, spread joy, and create a lasting legacy is far more rewarding than any title or award I could receive..

Contestant's Statement

Lindsay Gaines Fincher, Miss Alabama said "I am thrilled to be competing for the job of Miss America 2023! I began my journey with The Miss America Organization in 2015 when I signed up to compete for Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen as an at-large candidate. Over the past seven years, I've worked incredibly hard to represent Alabama on The Miss America Stage, and in doing so, I have developed an appreciation for this organization and the life-changing opportunities it provides. My involvement with The Miss America Organization has provided me with over $100,000 in scholarship assistance, incredible personal growth, countless new friends, and memories to last a lifetime. I want to serve our nation as Miss America 2023 to share my story and shine a spotlight on the incredible work being done by The Miss America Organization!
