Cullman’s Alexandria Flanigan Miss Alabama USA 2021 has just crowned the Winner against 33 Contestants, Miss Dothan 2021, Katelyn Vinson Miss Alabama USA 2022 of Age 21 from Hometown Dothan, at the end of Grand Finale in Gogue Performing Arts Center, Auburn, Alabama on Friday, January 15, 2022!!!

Katelyn Vinson Miss Alabama USA 2022 represented her state Alabama in the Miss USA 2022 Competition!!! Katelyn Vinson is Brain Health Advocate and represented by The Block Agency Nashville of “Chuy” Mark Block.

WINNER's Statement:

I woke up as Miss Alabama USA this morning and had to pinch myself to make sure this is real life. It’s hard to put into words what an honor this is; I have dreamt of serving and representing state of Alabama for as long as I can remember. At times, it seemed like a far-fetched dream that I wasn’t sure I would be able to achieve. I’m here to say that grit, perseverance, and discipline always pay off in one way or another. God’s timing is always perfect.

@annalee_story (@missalteenusa), you are an answer to so many of my prayers. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to take on this year with you. We’re going to have the time of our lives!

To my family, friends, mentors, and the many people who have encouraged me along the way: thank you for believing in me, seeing my potential, and pushing me to become the best version of myself.

The CROWNING MOMENT Video

The new Miss Alabama USA is Katelyn Vinson. A native of Dothan, she is a Senior at Auburn University, where she is majoring in Business Administration while pursuing a minor in Marketing.

Katelyn has a deep passion and natural ear for music. She hopes to one day become an artists and repertoire representative for a Christian record label. This goal would allow her to combine her love of music with the many different aspects of the business environment, including finance, accounting, and management she has learned during her time at Auburn.

Her ultimate desire is to make others’ dreams a reality by scouting out developing artists and assisting them in the process of scoring a record deal.

Katelyn enjoys staying active, whether it is walking her dog Goose, taking a yoga class, or lifting weights at the gym. Using food as medicine has taught Katelyn the power of eating foods that nourish the body. She hopes to educate and inspire people of all ages to lead healthy, balanced lifestyles.

Additionally, she would like to bring awareness to the importance of “brain health” and how this can contribute towards erasing the stigma surrounding mental health.   
Born and raised in Dothan, Alabama, Katelyn is overjoyed to have the opportunity to give back to the state that has shaped her into the woman she is today.

FUN FACTS As Told by Katelyn Herself!!!

• I am SCUBA certified. I’ve completed dives in the Florida Keys, Belize, and even did a shark dive in Fiji.
• I completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification in 7 weeks during my sophomore year of college.
• I am an old soul when it comes to music and I love collecting antique records. Some of my favorite bands are Queen, Aerosmith, and Fleetwood Mac.
• I’m a live-music lover and have seen over 50 well-known artists in concert.
• Skeet shooting is my hidden talent!
• Saltwater fishing is one of my favorite activities to do with my family. The biggest fish I’ve caught was a 45 lb Mahi Mahi.
