Contestant's Statement by Beth Rice

A girl with a vision, is a queen on a mission
When Romy announced Miss Mission, I knew that Supranational was not going to be my last pageant!
Miss Mission is a system built on the spirit of having an impact, making your vision a reality and an organisation accepting of all shapes and sizes What more could we want!
It’s been two years since I began ‘my mission’ of caring for the planet. As I’ve developed and learnt more, the mission has continually evolved. I’m extremely excited to share the newest evolution of my mission later this month (of course we know it will be climate related ) and the vision I’m hoping to achieve as @missmissiongb

The pageant venue is The Radlett Centre, a Performing arts theater in Aldenham Ave, Radlett, Herts, WD7 8HL, United Kingdom.

The contestants who competed for The First Ever Miss Mission Great Britain 2024 crown are Beth Rice, Kitilena Roxburgh, Marcie Reid, Natalie Nason, and Lizzie Spyrou. An online voting was also run for fan favorite contestant by liking their photo on our social media platforms Instagram @missmissiongb & Facebook @MissMissionGreatBritain.

The Judges are:

Melissa Fiona Rae: A 28 year old, following her dream, Rae is studying medicine to become a doctor. Alongside her studies as a medical student Melissa is a green energy business owner from Newcastle and is continuing her participation in pageantry as a Miss England finalist. Her pageant journey started when she won Miss Eco United Kingdom 21/22 and competed internationally.

She is passionate about traveling, languages, learning and actually is neurodivergent herself, being diagnosed with ADHD and a processing disorder. She wants to be a role model and give inspiration to those who are faced with barriers when learning and speaks over 8 languages conversationally. Not only this but she is also scuba certified!

Being an advocate for global sustainability she founded FAOI Uganda a non-profit organisation which helps provide water and food security through education as well as fundraising to build infrastructure such as wells and schools to an area where over 40,000 individuals and 6 schools in the Kampala region benefit. Her lifelong mission is to save water and save lives!

Brooke Smith has been in the pageant industry for 5 years. She was the previous Miss Intercontinental England 21/22. She’s continuing her pageant journey later this year at Miss International UK. Alongside pageantry Brooke works as a neonatal intensive care nurse and has established her own non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children and families in the UK.

Ruth Wade is the director of International Junior Miss United Kingdom a National system which she brought to the UK in 2019 as she wanted to bring more opportunities to the younger generation within UK pageantry.

She is also married to our official photographer Jason Wade and is one half of the GlamSistas team providing hair and makeup services for pageantry and photoshoots.

The pageant led by National Director Romy Simkins is a venture of which also produces Miss Intercontinental GB and Miss Atlantic United Kingdom pageants.
